Joint-venture of ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab and Champion Motors focused on strategic partnerships and access to new technologies
The city on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea ranks among the major start-up centres worldwide. Israel also globally ranks among the leading countries in the field of autonomous motor vehicles; more than 500 new companies focused on the development of modern transport systems are operating in the country.
The new episode of podcast is about the eight student's car which was presented by the students of ŠKODA AUTO secondary school. It is based on the KAMIQ model, powered by an engine from OCTAVIA model and, thanks to racing stickers, can be easily confused with the FABIA rally model. In its name, it refers to the famous Dakar Rally and at the same time to the focus of ŠKODA AUTO on the African market.
It is already the eighth ŠKODA Student Concept Car. And why the African theme? In addition to the reference to the famous Dakar Rally, the students wanted to highlight ŠKODA’s responsibility for all Volkswagen Group’s activities in North Africa.
Over the last two years, ŠKODA AUTO DigiLab Israel has become a leading player on Tel Aviv’s booming startup and tech scene. We have partnered with many promising local startups on a number of different digital mobility services as well as innovative hardware and software solutions.
